Labor Day Race at the Spike 09/01/2008 Well we started 6th in the heat and moved up some spots. But it didn't matter where we finished. They decided to line us up off of track points. Well, since we didn't run there much we had to start 23rd. Well the track wasn't very racy at all. Put we managed to work are way up running the bottom to a very respectful 14th place finish. The race went green to checkers with no cautions.
Golden Spike Two Day Show 08/31/2008 Well we started 2nd in the heat on the second lap entering turn 1. 7w decided to take us out after just passing him for the lead. The officials said I was losing it so the sent me to the rear. That was a bunch of crap let me tell you. So we had to fight to make it in to the A main as we restarted 9th and had to take a top five to make the main. We made it. We started 21st the the A main. We were moving up nicely half way through the race me and another car collided and there wasn't a caution. Put some body spun out and I got sent to the rear some how. The guy was 4 cars behind us. Then I got sent to a rear again for some dam reason. We ended making it back to 16th We believe it was pick on caho day.
Arlington Raceway 08/30/2008 Well making a return to Arlington for the first time since the sprint car days. We were hoping for a good showing. After taking the lead in the heat the car was a little tight when picking up the gas. We lead for a lap or to and started feeling a vibration. As we feel back to 3rd was taken out by the 4Th place car. We finished 4Th in the heat. We looked over the car to find out are rear end gear was bad. So we just started the race to get are tow money so we finished 16th. Better luck there next time.
The J-bar was a huge help 08/27/2008 We had the J-bar installed last week it was a huge improvement. As we won are heat race at the spike. We where running 4Th when the 3rd place car lost a drive shaft. I hit it and it damaged the front end an we fell to a 8Th place finish.
Installation of New Transmission a Success 08/21/2008 We installed a new transmission today. For some reason the new tranny lost reverse gear on Saturday night at cedar. So we have borrowed a tranny from the Corbin's. Have to say thanks to that family really appreciate it.
More changes to the car 08/20/2008 We had the pan hard bar removed. We now have a J-Bar installed on the car. It should help to keep the car from bouncing when on the bars. Plus should plant the left rear more off the corner. We will see what happens on Sat night at cedar.
Golden spike results 08/11/2008 Sunday night at the spike. We started 7Th in the heat. We were up to third when we got spun out. Made my way back to 6Th. Had to run the b-main. Which we made some changes an won the b by 8 car lengths. Started the a-main in 19 an made it up to 12Th. The track was very dry slick from top to bottom. So a much improvement from the last couple weeks.
Golden Spike 07/27/2008 Well not to good of luck again at the spike. Started 10Th in the Heat. I made it to a transfer spot. With like two laps to go my arm knocked the car out of gear. So we didn't transfer. The track was rough an for some reason the car is pogoing again. We started the b main in 11Th we slowly moved up a few spots. Still came up short. We definitely have to figure something out with this car.
Cedar lake 07/26/2008 Well Another night of racing at cedar lake. We drew a number 4. We thought we would be starting up front. Wrong they inverted the line up so we started 11Th. We made it to 5Th an a plug wire came off so we missed the feature by one spot. In the B main we started 10Th. We had moved up to 5Th running the bottom. On a restart had moved into 4Th which was a transfer spot in the a main. Well I was a little loose entering so I had a little more front brakes. That was a wrong move as the front end pushed up the track an had to settle for a 5Th place finish.
Golden Spike Speedway 07/20/2008 Bad luck has struck us again at the spike. Started the heat in eight place. On lap two we were in 5Th. When a caution came out. On the restart I felt something break in the rear of the car. We had no forward bite. The drive shaft was rubbing the drive shaft hoop. We ended up breaking the pull bar shock mount out of the frame. Try it again next time.
